Pros

Amazing set of coworkers, very willing answer questions. Just by being around the office, you gain a lot of industry insight. if you take a proactive stance about what you want to do & which editors/departments you want to work with, there's a huge opportunity to customize your experience

Cons

For an editorial intern, the level of trust that you establish with an editor can make or ruin the experience... whether you get to edit manuscripts/work on exciting projects or just do database work/write readers reports

Pros

Great Benefits but REALLY LOUSY PAY!

Cons

Lousy pay, Supervisors very cold with employees, Most Supervisors appointed to their department without experience in that new department. Safety with the fork trucks is a BIG issue! I almost got killed and no one did a thing. The person who ran into my forklift was given a drug test on the spot, and then sent right back to work on the forklift. No concern from my Supervisor AT ALL!

Pros

Generous time-off policy. People in senior management treat others with respect. Good health benefits and other company perks. It's a very friendly environment and no one will bother you as longs as you perform your job responsibilities up to expectations. Company offers on-going training to employees on different job related subjects.

Cons

Unfortunatelly, not too much room for advancement. Salaries in this company and other publishing firms are lower compared to other industries.
