The benefits provided at PRH are amazing. Several weeks of paid vacation, bonuses, free books, the opportunity to meet authors, etc.

Cons

There isn't a lot of room to grow as a professional within this company. A lot of people get comfortable working in the same position for several years. They will dock your pay if you miss working the day after a holiday, regardless of weather conditions.

Cons

Salary is low and doesn't increase quickly. Depending on departments, you could be an assistant for years and then when you eventually move up it is a pretty small bump.

Cons

Long hours. It wasn't uncommon to work an 11 hour day, and on the way out see others still at their desk.
