Pros

Work/Life balance Corporate minutiae keeps things from every really crunching

Cons

Cronyism. Bonuses are abysmal. Compensation is under market rate. Not a culture of cultivating or retaining talent. I had a manager tell me what a good idea it is to burn and turn junior employees to do all the hard work. Talented employees rarely stick around once they figure out the lay of the land. Share price is flat and will continue to remain that way thanks to a thick layer of middle management and mediocre decision makers that are often at odds with reason. They beat a moral drum about education being some higher purpose and expect people to just go along with it while nothing really improves.

Pros

The pay is decent, and benefits are above average.

Cons

The company is slowly creeping towards bankruptcy due to not investing in employees with a vested interest in the company performing well. There are random yearly terminations due to company performance overall.
