Pros

The company attracts many people who are committed to producing high-quality educational materials and their enthusiasm is contagious. The company also is willing to invest in continually improving products and responding to the market, so you feel like you're working on the "winning team." Also, many managers are supportive of flexible schedules and the company overall has policies to support work-life balance.

Cons

It's an enormous company and as a result there are some systems and processes that actually impede productivity. The culture makes it hard to move quickly and make necessary changes. Management sometimes errs on the side of trying to get consensus or make change democratically, when sometimes we might be better served by a more clear vision and an authoritative and speedy execution of decisions and organizational changes.

Pros

Being employed here opens many doors in the field of publishing, and provides exposure to all facets of textbook publishing. Great people. Everyone works hard to accomplish goals and to turn out quality products The educational materials published by Pearson are excellent. Strong senior management.

Cons

Difficult to advance. Experience varies greatly by direct supervisor. If you have a great manager, your experience will be great. Otherwise, it may fall short of your expectations for professional development. Significant variability in strength of middle management.

Pros

optional duties, varied times of the day you can work, The different locations helped with family life. flexible schedules as well.

Cons

Over loaded with work, responsibilities are unclear depending on your manager. Job expectations is something that needs to be worked out prior to starting a job there. They continually add work and responsibilities onto your job if you aren't careful.
