Pros

Enjoy working on educational projects Great teamwork on smaller teams

Cons

Red tape -- so much ineffeciency -- internal bureaucracy can be stiffling Educational market is very soft Merit play often does not keep up with inflation -- annual increases for employees doing satisfactory or sometimes extraordinary work does not outpace the rising cost of living

Pros

amazing benefits, growing company, if you are favored you will go far, some departments lack simple business discipline and it is hard to keep your personal life separate from work as management encourages you to be part of the department. Promotions are difficult and so is growth within the company. Most people stay in the same position for years, very few are the lucky ones that have an opportunity to advance and if you are one of the lucky ones you truly can go places.

Cons

too much pressure from management to be "part of the team" which can make it really hard to just do the job, managers are very busy and some do not have time for personal attention any more. lack of support from HR favoritism

Pros

There is career stability at Pearson if you are hard working, have integrity, and think creatively. Thinking creatively is also a double-edged sword.

Cons

One Must think creatively to figure out ways to have your work recognized by management. The down-side of creativity at Pearson is not that it is used for the betterment of the company/division, but rather it is a skill needed to engage management in order to simply complete your assigned tasks.
