Pros

Highly engaged and interested peers who work tirelessly despite the many challenges they encounter on a regular basis.

Cons

Very high turnover in leadership that means many efforts are abandoned, new jargon and lingo are introduced as new people want to make their mark, regular workers seem incredulous to such regular and inconsequential changes.

Pros

Cheap books! You can also meet some of your favourite authors at work events. Great place to learn about educational publishing and trade publishing. Many coworkers are very friendly and collegial.

Cons

Condones workplace bullying and harassment. Poorly paid industry overall. Many jobs are contract jobs so there are no medical benefits.
