Pros

It's a market leader with its eyes on first place in each market area. The culture is very get-things-done. The top people are experts in their fields. The strongest product areas (i.e. database) are widening their leads over competitors. Lots of opportunities for customer feedback, and the customers are experts too who can help to hone employees' skills. Whether you want to work in a buttoned-down corporate-style team, or a small agile startup-style team, there's a product group that's right for you.

Cons

Career development is largely in the hands of each employee, and opportunities vary depending on the savvy of each area's management. The long adoption cycle for products means that it can take a long time before your cool new feature has a big impact. Old-timers and teams from newly acquired companies find themselves competing to prove who's product and processes deserve to become the standard. Some people operate, and some managers manage, out of an inordinate fear of getting fired.

Pros

One will be exposed to develop world class enterprise applications. There are very few companies that do such a large scale applications. Learn them while you were there. Your hard work is really appreciated by your peers. But don't expect to get any growth. One can grow when you stop working and just do talking. One should learn to play politics. If you just work silently and solve the company problems, no one cares for you and you will stay without any promotions. Keep in mind to negotiate a good starting salary. No one gets a good raise after joining. Company cares about the shareholders rather than employees. So, don't get too much emotional with the company. You are paid for your work "period"

Cons

Hardwork or smart people stay at the bottom of the hierarchy. One has to play politics to grow up the ladder.

Pros

Oracle is taking over the enterprise software world, so if you want to work for the new leader its the place to be. Compensation is average to below average. Seems like the overall mentality is one of "clock in, get some stuff done, clock out". Very little drive. Some people view this as a plus.

Cons

Outsourcing and globalization. if you live in the US you wont be working for oracle in 10 years. Nobody cares if you are here or not, its very difficult to work your way up the chain.
