Great culture and mission with high-performing staff
Pros
The culture and the people are great. I worked at my previous company for eight years and almost immediately felt at home here. The entire tech team is very supportive and works well together to get features turned around quickly without the constant, overwhelming pressure you hear about from FAANG companies. Also the benefits are better than most US-based companies and they're flexible with your schedule if you need to work from home, go to appointments, etc. Once you're hired, they trust you and treat you like an adult. Lastly, if you are passionate about climate change, this is a place you can feel proud to work. The overarching mission of the company is to battle this crisis every way it can, and that makes for really exciting growth opportunities.
Cons
The environment demands that you learn fast and will take the initiative to ask questions when you're ready. You have to be a good self-manager to excel. By design, there is very little structure around on-boarding so it's easy to feel a little lost at the beginning of your employment.
