Pros

The culture at OEV puts their employees first, and management will routinely reach out to check on employees to ensure they're working at their best and enjoying their respective roles. Numerous benefits include; - Unlimited Holiday (Within Reason)! - £1,000 L&D Budget to use on a variety of courses/programmes or further training. - Company (at their discretion) provides travel or pays for travel to company events, socials or important meetings in London, Manchester and Brighton offices. - Quick progression through a reasonably achievable framework, with regular payrises to reflect this. - Hiring team do a spot on job with recruitment, everyone is lovely. - Mental Health is taken very seriously, with consistent wellbeing events, free subsciptions to Headspace and access to free therapy services. - No micromanagement, you're trusted to do your role with the training you're given. - Aside from the Ops team, the sub-teams within this team are given a quarterly budget to plan socials for their groups. - Yearly bonuses and commision structures to motivate people. - Discounted/Free gym memberships. Overall a really good company to work for if you're keen to develop and grow.

Cons

- Very fast paced, burnout was common amongst colleagues. - Whilst not required or asked of an employee, it was common to work late or start early to catch up with work that couldn't be completed 9-5:30.

Hey there, thanks for sharing your feedback. We hear you on the fast pace nature of our business- it is what makes us so exciting. So sorry to hear you feel that burn out is common and not something we want at all. We have a number of ways in which team members are able to stop the effects of burn out, like online therapy support, unlimited holiday and wellbeing team to work on new initiatives. I also her that about the working hours - we do offer flexible working to ensure team members manage their own workload. I am so sorry you were not able to take full benefit of these - but please do know that your comments mean I will personally make sure our teams know about it. I really appreciate all your positives - means a lot. Thanks Alys Peart Chief of Staff Octopus Electric Vehicles

Pros

Really happy with work so far, team environment is fantastic - everyone willing to help you no matter their level in the business. working hours and flexibility are great as well ! I really like the commission structure and team bonus, makes you feel like you're contributing to the team even if you're brand new. I come from a very corporate background and it's refreshing to come to OEV and how they let you have flexibility. Benefits are really good as well.

Cons

to be honest I can't say I have any cons right now, if you're willing to put the work in you'll be absolutely fine so no complains from me at all.

Pros

Most companies will talk about their culture, but few companies really live it. Since joining, I've experienced and seen each value OEV cares about being brought to life through its people, work and environment. I've felt truly supported and safe to learn, explore and ask why we do what we do. I've been excited everyday since joining, and it doesn't feel like that excitement will slow down soon. I can't wait for what's next for both myself and my role as I grow into it, but also for the company that is continually striving to do more, learn more and improve even faster.

Cons

As with all start-ups, there are some growing pains - you have to dig around a bit to find what you're looking for, for example, and not everything is in a polished and ready-to-use state - but that's part of the fun! Everyone is always ready and willing to help you find what you need, and help you to understand what could be done next as you dive in.
