Struggling to catch up technologically

Pros

Salaries are competitive. The benefits are good. Pension is a plus but PTO is mediocre. Community discounts are decent.

Cons

Terrible EMR, out dated equipment. Has outgrown its facilities and is not expanding in Atlanta and it desperately needs to. Heavy on middle management. NEVER see upper management.

Cliques Abound

Pros

Pay is good...benefits are better than most...facilities are nice...no uniform color required...that's really it for the "pros" in my opinion

Cons

Staff is rude, mean and cliquish...not nice or welcoming to new employees. I have more experience than most of their ICU nurses and they could've cared less about that and more about the initials behind your name. Making themselves look "good" and sitting in front of the computer charting for hours trumps patient care. Terrible bedside manner from most nurses...

Pros

You'll learn to live the kids, free food, celebrate a lot and the teachers become like family.

Cons

It's a tiresome job, no room for growth, schedule is dependent on children's schedule, small raises
