      Pros

      * An international Brand to be proud of. * Work-Life balance is good * Large UX team * Leader in Mobile Technology

      Cons

      * Absolute chaos in internal project management. Too many people/teams doing the same thing * Services division in Nokia Bangalore functions like a outsourced unit * Nokia R&D presence in India is more than 3 years old, Yet, Services Bangalore team is still trying to prove themselves to the Nokia big heads in Finland, UK and US * Absolute disregard to experienced professionals. * Absolutely no discipline/science in assigning grades to people * Too many people spending too much time working on too trivial projects * Nokia as a brand seems to be too slow in catching up competition.

      Pros

      Opportunities to learn and make an impact on the world. Career rotation. Huge market presence is rewarding because the results of your work are seen all over the world. Good balance between work and leisure. If you want you can work your ass off but it usually won't be rewarded extra.

      Cons

      Some members of the top management have been in the company too long and/or are just not competent and/or have made far too many mistakes to be credible among employees anymore. Claiming employees of being cynical does not help - they must go to restore faith. Salaries do not usually reflect extra efforts which is not very rewarding.

      Pros

      In Finland, the working conditions (e.g. flexibility for people with children) are good, even if the salaries are not.

      Cons

      Nokia Finland looks to attract the best skills while only paying at a mediocre level. Pay rises are poor and extra efforts are usualy not rewarded.
