Pros
- Most of the software assets are freely accessible. This is great if you are able to find time and contribute & learn - Global management is good, has good ideas / intentions - Great colleagues outside India who know a lot and are willing to share it if you show interest - Great place for Project managers - not much technical abilities asked for. Only communications and presentation skills needed
Cons
- Complex matrix structure - No transparency in hikes, bonus payments, promotions - Managers living in ivory towers, taking all the credits but passing all the blame - Local managers spent a lot of effort on info hiding! This is contrary to global executives who are very open & humble - Quality of middle managers in R&D is pathetic. seems like the top bosses deliberately hired people less capable than themselves to secure own jobs.
