Pros

Working with colleagues that are also overworked, underpaid and highly pressurised means that you are not isolated and share common ground.

Cons

We never hear about the hard work of hospital administrators whose contribution to the day to day running of hospitals is vital. During strike action and under resourcing it is always administrators and not clinicians, managers or board members that take calls and visits from disgruntled patients.

Pros

occasional relaxed environment, good pay with supplement for weekends and nights.

Cons

frequently understaffed or poorly staffed, which left you having to do more than you were qualified/paid to do. Often missed breaks.
