Cons

Morale is currently very low, you work more and more and never feel like it is enough.

Pros

Able to make a difference. Patient care. Ability to lead and take responsibility for important decisions. Medicine is endlessly fascinating

Cons

Rubbish pay particularly at junior levels. Chronic understaffing means you are often required to do the job of 3 or 4 people, work far beyond your expected hours and patient safety can be compromised by this, which is frustrating and demoralising
