Pros

It's really interesting work. I love typing and listening to all the medical terminology and what is covered in clinics. I love working with all the different software systems and information you need to research and enter. I love working as part of a team and getting to be a part of patient care.

Cons

Unfortunately staff moral is often quite low in departments and there seems to be quite a lot of clickiness between offices and people, often a lot of racism too which can put a negative twist on such an amazing organisation to work in. A lot of my colleagues and friends experience these things too. Unfortunately it's a societal problem that is then brought into work where work should be a barrier and filter for these issues.

Pros

Working amongst knowledgeable staff, challenging environment. Great holidays. Ok pay

Cons

Not all team members have the same work ethos, slow to change or take on new ideas, very hard to find permanent good positions as elderly refuse to leave or retire
