Pros

To be honest, the sick pay.

Cons

Ive been placed on 3 training programs within the NHS in 10years. Quality of teaching was excellent. However the clinic support to practice/implement new skills was severely lacking. Consistently no one had time to help. I experienced burn out during COVID, due to covering 3 nurses roles and an ever growing caseload. I had severe depression with anxiety and needed 6 months to rehabilitate. I then had to take a job 2 pay bands below my previous role because I couldn't cope with the stress of the job. Staff retention is woeful. I trained 5 nurses in 3 years for one role ... I feel quite resentful tbh
