      Pros

      Leading, recognized company, working for Microsoft is always a positive note in your CV. You can change your positions inside Microsoft from an XBox position to an Enterprise Server position, which you can´t find in any other IT company. Also, you can feel a protagonist in the software/IT market products/platforms. Customers and partners will always hear you.

      Cons

      Politics and short term numbers work can become your first priority working at microsoft, which means be out of the reality in the market, loosing ground with innovative trends, competition and customer requirements

      Pros

      Salary is near the market average, lower than in smaller software companies, but this gets compensated by a very good job security and a excellent benefits package. The working environment is quite good, in general there are a quite remarkable good humor, and management is reasonable, excellent in occasions.

      Cons

      With time, it become quite political in the decision making, and too big, so a lot of processes are too difficult to get through. There is also this incredible amount of middle management who feels compelled to ask for information all of the time. They always show up in the photo when something goes well.
