Pros

The company offers good salaries and a good benefits package. It definitely looks good on your resume if you decide to leave. You work with some very intelligent people who are passionate about the company and its products.

Cons

The downsides are pretty standard for any huge corporation. Lots of Microsoftees are pretty "religious" about their products and often have a hard time accepting that the IT world is a big green garden where different types of flowers can flourish without interfering with each other. The small Austrian subsidiary was suffering from poor executive management, which caused many good employees to leave.

Pros

1. Job Flexibility - Set you own hours. 2. Pay - Competitive salary 3. Benefits - Competitive benefits package.

Cons

1. Tools - Internal tools for getting work done just plain suck. 2. Leadership - Week-to-week leadership is vague at best. Decent long-term and "big picture" leadership though. 3. Office space - While MSFT has more office space than most companies, people are often crammed into offices (2, 3, 4, and more is not uncommon).
