      Pros

      Many of the projects at MIcrosoft are important to the computer industry. The chance that you will get to work on something that people will actually use is good. There is also a wide variety of opportunities there. Often, you can move around until you find the right team/mananger/project.

      Cons

      There are alot of meetings/politics/odd management to deal with. One bad manager can ruin you if you are not careful. The review process can be arbitrary, or worse, it can encourage screw-your-collegue thinking.

      Great benefits and people, but leadership is focused on infighting instead of customers

      Pros

      Lots of smart individuals and great benefits

      Cons

      As the company has started to focus internally and fight between groups as it has grown larger and the business has started to weaken. This internal focus and looking for someone to blame will only make things worse. To grow the company needs to focus on customers again.

      Pros

      Spectacular benefits. Do you know those explanation of benefit forms that your insurance company sends you? The kind that lists how much your eligible for paying out of pocket? They're all $0 at our house.

      Cons

      It's a huge company, which means that it has good parts and not so good parts. If you're in a good part, life is good and you can't go wrong. If you're in a not so good part, you thinking about switching jobs a lot.
