      Company changed a ton during covid

      Pros

      Can work from home. Good food at the office.

      Cons

      Most of the benefits are now suspended, except for the basic ones like medical, pension. We used to have great perks pre-covid but now it’s all gone. The reality labs org is crazily mismanaged. Projects get cancelled all the time and engineers struggle to find meaningful work, especially in London.

      Pros

      Good salary and benefits, no micro-management, you always have lots of independence as an engineer here.

      Cons

      Too many re-orgs, projects often get closed without any reasons and or explanations, one can easily have 2-3 managers per year or end up with 3-5 years without any code making it to production. Too many pointless meetings and documents, since current performance system rewards it way more than actual product creation. And in the last 2 years, a significant decrease of transparency in the company on all levels.

      Perks are great, but working from home is totally different than being in-office obviously, so difficult to say exactly how much it's worth it.

      Job satisfaction isn't all that great.
