Pros

- Most of my colleagues were great. - Good pay and benefits.

Cons

- Executive management has lost touch of what MetLife has stood for, divested core businesses in the U.S. (Brighthouse Financial and MassMutual) - Work environment was too political, games being played by management and across geography. - In general, management is resistant to change, hesitant to adapt new technologies into improving existing processes. - Many teams are siloed. - Knowledge gap across hierarchy. (Senior management doesn't know what middle management is doing and middle management doesn't know what non-management employees do.) - Company-wide layoffs disguised as "Transformation" and "LEAN." - Almost no opportunity for career advancement, would rather hire externally than promote from within. - Promotions based on who you know rather than the work you do. - Internal systems occasionally down "for maintenance or updates" during peak business days. - Lots of smoke and mirrors.

Pros

You can work as much overtime as you want. Work is never ending. You also spend more time at work than anywhere else so you will only be spending money on delivery if you need to eat! Also, if you are good at your job & happy, they’ll force you to train others on it who can’t grasp the process and who refuse to help or be trained properly.

Cons

Many of the managers push for drama & a hostile work environment. Good employees are bullied mercilessly while lesser employees are promoted. Sexism, racism and homophobia are rampant here so unless your a lazy, hetero white male- you will not succeed here. The pay is mediocre and the stress is not worth ever applying here.
