Pros

Competitive Salary: The compensation is among the best in the industry, offering a secure and rewarding financial package. Job Security: Mercadona is one of Spain’s largest and most stable companies, ensuring long-term employment even in uncertain times. Exciting Projects: There are plenty of projects to work on across different areas, which keeps the work dynamic and stimulating. Strong Infrastructure: The company has well-organized processes, excellent tools, and resources to support employees in their roles.

Cons

Limited Promotions: Advancement opportunities can feel limited, as promotions are not always easy to achieve. On-Site Requirements: The company often prefers employees to work on-site, which may not appeal to those seeking remote or hybrid arrangements. Strict Culture: The organizational culture is quite structured and rigid, which may not suit everyone.

Pros

Attractive Payment - well above average in the industry Clearly defined roles that rotate

Cons

HR/management has no patience or niceties for the low rungs/part-timers/temp workers - if you come to work with hostility from the get go then no one feels comfortable bringing up problems or situations that require your intervention. Furthermore, my contract ended and they said they did not require this many people working at the time, so they let me go without renewing my contract. One week later I see there's more open positions at the exact same supermarket, to do my exact same job. I applied and never got a response back. I have no idea if they actually needed people (in which case, why not keep/re-hire people you have already spent time training?) or they were just keeping an eye on the job market and in how many people were interested.
