Pros

Sales people looking at Meraki, turn around. great product, sells itself thats about it

We had our SKO today and leadership was singing songs about how there is nothing to ship and making jokes for 30 minutes about it. Not all of Meraki is sitting on 350k+ salaries, very bad taste and disrespectful to hard working sales people who are grinding to hit your numbers for you. You are losing employees every day. - no shipments = no commission - customers buying ecommerce - 2 openings per team company wide, turnover is so high - managers leaving a record pace - CEO and exec leadership come out to speak once a month if that - zero transparency on what is going on, we are on our own - Quotas going up every quarter with the same exact pay, worst in industry - have to cover for your peers territories who quit and dont get paid on it

Pros

time off and PTO is good great product (when its in stock)

Cons

man where do I start: 1) low pay compared to the industry 2) no inventory and no payout until things ship (over 180 days out) 3) performance doesn't matter here. many people get promoted even if they've missed quota multiple times. if they're running SPIFFS that's enough to get them promoted even if their performance is lacking. 4) management does nothing to help employees with their desired career path 5) they brag about supposed raises they gave out but even with the so called raises the company still pays low compared to the industry 6) they brag about the culture but its pretty much non existent 7)upper management never answers the real questions that employees are worried about. its always "we're working on it" but nothing ever comes of it 8) when job openings do show up they almost always hire someone that they already have in mind but will make people go through the interview process just so they can say that they gave others an opportunity (and everyone knows this) 9)they never address these issues and choose to ignore them 10) the territories are not equal--they keep raising quotas

- Women are sexually harassed, discriminated against, and underpaid. Those who are consistently top performers are blocked from promotions and are not provided the coaching, support, and opportunities that men are given. If you are a woman, you are at a disadvantage. - Leadership is full of talentless individuals who tolerate sexism and inappropriate comments and behaviors. - It's a culture based on selfish behaviors that reward bad practices. There is a glass ceiling to get a promotion. A lot of social climbing people and those close to management get promotions rather than those that work the hardest. - A tense and long-hours working environment where you have no support or engagement for well-being. - Sales is an administration role, highly dependant on your Cisco AM - you're just updating discounts and shipping trials. - Success is highly dependant on the territory assigned.
