      Horrendous Place to work as a Network Support Engineer

      Pros

      - No Pros in this job. - So called "free food" is not a pro as they basically pay bare minimum salary to afford basic necessities in life.

      Cons

      - No career growth, all you will learn in this job is taking packet captures. - Pay is garbage for bay area. You CANNOT afford a studio apartment in less than one hour from the office. People here get raises when they get there H1b visa(as law required them to pay a certain wage) as these people take advantage of the immigrant labor and pay them garbage money to work in Bay area. - Product has only one thing going for it, simplicity. Your skill sets as Network Engineer are non-existent. - Only work for this company if you are currently flipping burgers and need an entry level job in IT.

      - Slow career growth and commission structure hasn't changed in 7+years, when - Meraki was growing at 50%+ YoY - Products are often overpriced for their capabilities ie. MV

      some perks from Cisco, but so what, considering the cons, it is not worth it.

      Cons

      This company is dysfunctional. Managers are like zombies reciting scripts from HR, and about "leadership", "proactive", etc, etc. They have no heart and no soul. This company is hypocritical. Just look at the feedback from Meraki itself, when somebody posted a negative feedback about the company, they wrote as a response: "Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our goal is for every Merakian to have a positive work experience, and we were sorry to hear you are having a difficult time." So blame the other person having a difficult time, and not look at its own fault. Avoid this company at all costs.
