Pros

Good salary and benefits. Emphasis on training and understanding of importance of it, especially in the IT department. Emphasis on work and life balance. A lot of vacation and flexible with time off. Management was respectful at all times. Stimulating work with a lot of variety.

Cons

Often there is not enough respect for working at McDonald's. I also worked there are a teenager and I developed my good work ethic there. To this day I have never worked so hard and taken quite the same pride in a job well done. I was able to return years later and bring that same sense of pride in to a corporate position.

Pros

It gets you money while you are in college. Also, not much skill required but I will say this: it can be rather monotonous and stressfull working drive-thru. McDonalds has great tasting food( if you dont mind trading tasty food for a few inches on your thighs and a pair of love handles). But you should work for McDonald's because it can be fun at times and you can make some friends there.

Cons

Drive-thru is stressful and you have to be mentally prepared to handle dissatisfied customers.

Pros

The work life balance was very helpful to me and helped me manage the many things going on in my life. the department was great and was filled with very competent people who did high quality work. The people were the best part of the job; there was a lot of respect between coworkers and managers.

Cons

It is a huge company. That can be a positive or a negative. The downside of it being a huge company is that you can be looked at as a little fish in a big sea. Some times it was hard to be recognized for superior work because there was just so many people there.
