Pros

Nothing per se. Located in good cities, San Jose, Irvine and Carlsbad. Everything else doesn't matter. Tried hard but cannot think of any.

Cons

Pathetic management with unrealistic expectations. Please do not end up here. Totally immature managers trying to climb up the ladder at the cost of employees.

Pros

Some folk are very helpful to teach you. Free snacks in the kitchen, espp is good. Stock based compensation is also good if the stock goes up.

Cons

Low salaries due to h1 workers with phds. Bad management. Senior engineers work on the cool projects. No sick days. Long hours. Late meetings.

Pros

Pros are for CEO and VPs. The rest don't see any benefits.

Cons

Cheap company. Very poor culture. Mafia management. No respect for engineers. Cramp 4 people in cube to watch each other like KGB 12 hours a day is norm. Constant pressure. Everything is set up for 5-6 people in the executive management to benefit from (costs, extreme pressure etc.). The rest are wasting their time and life. There is a reason why MaxLinear is famous for bad culture, it's not hoax. But management knows this and does not care. They have this habit of cutting off full time employees as soon as their tasks are over. They don't warn you in advance. This is not a company with normal work ethics/culture. They smile and pretend to be nice to new job applicants, but be warned that does not last long. As others have said here, the majority of people working here have left, with new naive faces replacing them, only to figure out the same things few months later. This company needs a major change in culture.
