Very political environment regarding managers and too many managers. Targeted deadlines are never deliverable within timescales without correct due diligence. Expected to go the extra mile without benefits to the employee.

For such a large company, I'm shocked at the lack of opportunities for progression. There is a lot of talk about careers but no action. US style promotions (fancy sounding officer titles) do not include additional responsibility nor salary or benefit increase. Constant announcements of new board members/directors in New York (some of whom are already on other boards) whilst 60% of my UK colleagues received 0% rises this year - a pay cut in real terms. Large corporate office can feel stifling / isolating, but I imagine that is common. Colleagues' perception of upper UK management is very low! Side note - the toilets are regularly left in a horrendous state, I feel as though I am either working with animals or in a nightclub? Amazed this has never been addressed.
