      Young workforce with everyone fresh out of uni, if you prefer that

      Some project work is very poor and very little experience gained of Financial Markets or Products. Is a medium sized company (1200 approx.) but still run as if it's a couple of hundred employees, lack of HR and CEO micro manages the company. Capped salary. Very low compensation package. The company have shown that they have no respect or morals when dealing with staff and have no interest in your career goals and where you want your career to go. They have proven to be bullies and are full of empty promises. High employee turnover.

      Pros

      + Good starting point into career (basic skill coverage of software, banking and general skills) + Exposure to banking industry + Atmosphere among junior employees + Personal exposure to projects was adequate to my liking (based on individual experience)

      Cons

      - Salary and benefits too low for the expectations set (not competitive enough) - Senior management improvement required to manage junior employees - Long hours required (work/life balance could be better) - Communication channels require improvement (within the company structure towards an employee) - Organisation of corporate activities (very limited compared to other consultancies in the industry) - Travelling opportunities are limited for London based consultants

      Pros

      I would say the only good thing is the people. They are very supportive both professionally and socially. Most of them deserve better than the company they are at.

      Cons

      The company suffers from horrible work life balance. You can be in the office until the early hours of the morning just waiting for other people to do work. Management lie to employees about available opportunities. They also lie to clients regarding the level of employees to gain more revenue. There are only a few consultancy projects, most are just outsourcing roles in data entry. Also in the UK, Management Solutions only has ONE client. All in all its a horrible company.
