Pros

Technically, if you sit there and do what they say, you get paid. There is a clear move upward, even if it means making your career there. Some good people work there

Cons

- No work/life balance - No appreciation for your time as an employee - Mediocre pay for hours (days last until 7, but at the discretion of your supervisor) - Uninteresting, arbitrarily done projects -- you'll feel like you're wasting your time while wishing you could do something else. - Lots of sitting around and doing nothing while they make you feel bad about it. I don't know which was worse, the days in which I had absolutely nothing to do and then was berated for doing nothing, or the days where I had really boring, mindless work to do that yielded no results because the project was terrible from the beginning - Management doesn't know how to give direction or manage - Advice to recent grads: take another job! keep looking! don't settle for this!! Keep in mind, this consulting company does not get good projects. When you think of consultants, you usually think of people who need to solve a problem that the company cannot solve itself. With these projects, the company can solve them, but they're just so tedious, uninteresting, and terrible, they hire a lower tier consulting firm to do it for them. I've never had someone say "I love my project." The best I've ever heard was "It's not that bad this time."

Pros

Good salary for the Madrid average, and if you are lucky, you will learn a lot in some proyects in the main spanish banks. The mates are incredible, and there are a lot of great and very smart people in the company. Good salary increases (10-15% each year)

Cons

Management is awful in 90% of the cases. Their only worry is to win money selling projects, no matter how the project is sold and if the final product is something valuable. There is a lack of middle-management people in the company, as they have a lot of junior consultants, and a lot of partners and top-managers. Of course, we are speaking of consultancy, so do not expect exiting before 8 p.m., and 11 is common. Not common, but possible, is to work till 11 p.m. and some weekends.

Pros

-Pays a bit better than competitors (big 4), it is more noticeable after a few years -Has a very good relationship with 2 major financial institutions (often allowing projects sold with an adequate amount of people, early access to some technologies and market knowledge, etc). -Global partnership: the same partner has projects in multiple countries and it is not difficult to travel. -Management has very smart people with good connections in large Spanish companies. -Promotes long-term employment, retaining more employees (proportionally) than competitors.

Cons

-Lack of investment in non-Spanish talent, to expand outside Spain it is fundamental to hire local experienced consultants (not just juniors), it has not done this yet. -Company is too focused in Spain, consultants based in other countries have worse pay (vs. local market) than in Spain, worse benefits and training, poor access to management and less opportunities. -Lack of flexibility in sales push to non-Spanish prospective clients. -Raises/bonus are too similar between top and bottom performers: there should be more differentiation: successful consulting requires promoting fast the best people and firing the worst -The banking sector is 80% of the business
