Pros

Great benefits, especially regarding vacation days, fast-paced work environment. Additionally, the company does a really great job allowing employees to develop new skills. One of the best things about MS is many people have the opportunity to travel. Another benefit is getting to work with and meet people from all over the world; it is a really diverse company.

Cons

The company has several shortcoming. The company does not communicate very effectively with the staff; often times I felt in the dark regarding my future assignments and living situations. The working hours are very rigid. I spent a lot of time in the office not because of heavy work demands but because my superiors wanted me to look good for the client.

Pros

-Not very long hours (9 to 7 is not a bad schedule in Finance), on average -Great, diverse co-workers. You really get to work with smart people from all over Europe and the Americas. -Constant contact with the client. -Clients are generally large, globally-significant institutions. -Some opportunity to travel, if desired. Great per diem packages when doing so. Opportunities, however, are more limited for US consultants, especially internationally. -A lot of collaborative work with people at all levels in the company. -Biannual reviews from supervisors are helpful in identifying strengths and points of improvements, although communication about roles and expectations could be improved.

Cons

-Almost no say on the projects you get. -Opportunities for travel are long-term (3-6 month at the least). -Apart from the community of employees in the same clients, there is a limited push for a cohesive, inclusive company culture. -A lot of the work is dry, especially as an entry-level assistant. -Very few projects in strategy, business management, product decisions, etc. Some projects have parts that fit into those categories, but it is limited. -Salary is low for the industry, though there is a good, structured system of promotions and salary increases that helps to bridge the gap.

Pros

Young co-workers who like to go out together. Direct exposure with the client.

Cons

Disrespectful, Arrogant, and Unprofessional Partner that no employee trust. Culture of "warming the chair": You have to stay until 7pm minimum even if you do not have work to finish. Extremely uncompetitive and unfair salaries. Not based on merit nor previous experience. For example, workers in Birmingham, AL earn the same as workers in Boston,MA; but the difference in cost of living is 50%. Low-quality Trainings. Consist of the teacher reading out loud a powerpoint. Almost impossible to get hired by the client. Non-compete agreement between MS and the clients. Very small portfolio of clients in the US that keeps decreasing. Low-retention rate.
