Don’t believe their values, Lloyds has changed and not for the best..

Pros

Great benefits package- pension, shares, holiday buy and sell, Bupa, cycle to work. Decent pay. Flexible employer

Cons

Lloyds used to be a great place to work where people actually cared about others and treated each other with respect. In recent years though the focus has changed and they have lost their friendly caring culture. There are a lot of lifers, people seem to stay in the same roles and at LBG forever. Lots of opportunities for development and career progression, but this is not led or helped by senior employees but the onus is put on you to push and develop yourself. People are promoted for no reason and not based on merit or experience. Most of the middle managers are inexperienced and untrained and have just got there through length of service rather than qualifications. Poor management defines Lloyds and too many meetings that are pointless. Too much focus on time in office rather than actual performance Toxic culture of monitoring employees through card swipes Meant to be a very diverse and family friendly place to work according to their values but the reality is very different. Little understanding for families and not flexible at all.

Pros

Holidays - can be up to 30 days + bank holidays depending on grade Pension Contribution - 15% employer contribution if you contribute 6% Maternity Leave - recently increased to 26 weeks

Cons

Leadership decisions impacting all colleagues negatively without any consultation Communication around those decisions was terrible Not being listened to by the leadership team Mandated 2 days in the office for which we are monitored, which has completely broken the trust we had in the group's leadership team Compressed hours which were an amazing benefits were suddenly removed, without considering colleagues' opinion, specific needs, unique situations or using evidence to justify this choice There isn't enough relevant training opportunities, and the training platform should be more interactive and engaging (i.e. not just videos)

Pros

*Decent pay and benifits, *Having LBG on your CV, *Learning to handle the poltics and stakeholders,

Cons

*Recent cycles of redundancies. Morale is low, colleagues are worried, people bracing themselves for more cuts that are assumed to be on the horizon, *The advertised role and the job you end up doing can be different. There is a poor understanding of what is needed, why and how to hire from Leadership, *Return to the office has been a total farce. You go in (if you can get a seat) to sit on teams meetings, *After creating “strategic hubs” that resulted in some people losing their jobs, Leadership didn’t then create teams centred in the strategic hubs. It’s common to have a colleague based in one hub on their own, with a manger based in another hub and teammates based elsewhere, *New teams sprout up more often than the UK changes PM, poorly formed, poorly communicated, lacking formal RACIs. Colleagues are left figuring out what it is they do or don’t do, *Lack of opportunities to progress, lots of talk about it, rarely the case does it exist. The few opportunities that do exist will largely depend on who you know, not what, *Some people are focused on constantly garnishing attention for themselves; they will utilise mistakes made or find something else (at your expense or not, they don’t care). It's blatant and appears to go unchallenged,
