Pros

Liberty Mutual offers great pay with awesome benefits.... Good bonus structure once you begin your job out of training.

Cons

When hired you will be promised one thing and once you're out of training whatever you were promised when accepting the job offer becomes a thing of the past and is not honored. Second, they make you feel as if you are one of the elite. Being accepted into the company which is a fortune 100 company. Once you see your peers you realize you've not taken a corporate sales position but rather, a run of the muck call center position. Finally, forget everything you've learned about sales as this is a transaction and not a sales environment.

We appreciate your review, but we're sorry to see that you wouldn't recommend us based on your experience. We set high expectations for our employees, but we always aim to back up those expectations with training, communication, and manager support. It sounds like you don't feel you received that communication. We'd encourage you to speak with your manager about your questions and concerns so we can work with you to make improvements. Thanks again for your post.

Pros

Decent pay Pension plan that won't mean anything in a couple of years, I like a few of my co-workers

Cons

WARNING: LIBERTY MUTUAL POSTS FAKE REVIEWS AND PRACTICES AGE DISDRIMINATION!! People, i have worked here for over 8 years and can tell you lots of dirty secrets about LM. But I want to focus on how they post fake job openings and waste the time of job candidates. They also discriminate against people who have been in insurance for ages and have multiple licenses. They lie. The recruiters they use are the bottom-of-the-barrel. Do NOT waste your time. You have been warned.

You're just a number

Pros

Benefits are good, not great for a company this size, WFH continues to be an option,

Cons

You'll be treated like the number you are. Don't let the corporate facade of happy people in happy places get you. You'll be a number who reports to another number who reports to another number and you'll all just be numbers together on a spreadsheet. When you're an outlier number.. you'll always have to explain why and you'll always be asked why you can't do more. These corporations do not care about you & they never will. They will tell you they do, they will throw parties, they will throw you money.. but in the end, when you no longer serve them.. you're out. If you work for another corporation writing estimates.. don't expense grass to be greener over here. If you're looking to get into a job for the first time.. I'd recommend you run. Go follow your passion instead. Don't make yourself comfortable with the salary & the benefits of any corporate job. You'll be stuck & next thing you know you've had an unhappy 25 years serving someone else.
