Pros

After several shake ups, top management seems to finally have a clear strategy of what they want to do and how to get there. Cudos to them for growing the company while helping Liberty avoid the financial disaster that has derailed so many big financial companies over the last few years.

Cons

The most deceitful and dishonest company I ever interviewed with and worked for. Lied shamelessly during recruiting and interviewing about promotional opportunities, available training, projects I'd be working on, the kind of technology they had and were using, etc. Clueless lower and middle management. Easily manipulated, influenced by a**-kissing employees in their charge, no idea how to actually implement or accomplish direction from top management. Generally recognized by many former employees, and those in get-out-of-Dodge mode, as "...the place where IT careers go to die."

Pros

Fair compensation, a lot of good people to work with and opportunities to grow within the company. There are many benefits to working.

Cons

The managers are sometimes unfair, but this would depend on the individual manager. I would say that they do not seem to give the same attention and care to all offices.

Pros

Every office can be very different, but generally a relaxed and understanding work environment. There tends to be a decent work-life balance. There are four personal holidays and 15 vacation days. The work week is 37.50 hours per week, so 7.5 hours per day, as opposed to 8.

Cons

Very rigid in some policies and Liberty Mutual does not tend to be on the cutting edge of technology and business environment changes.
