Pros

Very keen to help you develop and give you training with a superb array of courses. Considerable flexibility on hours, holidays etc once you are more senior.

Cons

Pay was just OK. Some people seemed to be promoted by vurtue of how long they had been there rather than genuine ability, though this was changing when I left.

Pros

I agree with a lot of the posters here. This is a great place to start your career. You learn so much about professional services industry. My time management, organization and project management skills have improved dramatically. I feel confident that the things I've learned here will help me go anywhere I want should I leave the firm. And when you first start, the work is challenging. Learning the technical aspects (audit/tax) and understanding how to maintain a good working relationship with the client is exciting.

Cons

Your workload will either be feast or famine. There is no moderation here. Sometimes it will feel like you will have to squeeze your personal life in the downtime. The firm offers good advice for those just starting with the firm but could do better with helping others learn how grow a career. Opportunities seem to shrink as time your time with the firm grows. It possible to be pigeonholed into one project for a longtime. Retaining staff with 2+ years of experience is a problem, but I don't think this is unique to the firm.
