Pros

Quick progression because everyone leaves.

Cons

Everything good gets taken away quite quickly. No training. Thrown in the deep end. Promises mean nothing. Always expect so much more. 40hr weeks? If only.

Pros

Training and development is definitely an advantage. One of manager's tasks is to spot the talent and develop it from the start. Everyone has the same chance. Training program is very good. Also the company culture and values.

Cons

With internal promotion you get the status, more responsibilities and attractive job, but the salary package is not necessarily following the level. It looks external candidate get better package than internal promotions, causing the gap between internal and external hiring bigger and bigger over the years.
