Pros

Work life balance is good. You will be able to leave your work at the office. Some of the coworkers are really nice people.

Cons

Managers are often assigned or hired into their position without having experience in what they will actually be managing, leading to situations that frustrate employees. Currently we have software developers reporting to people with no software/ engineering experience and after 2 UX/ design managers left, designers and UX professionals are now reporting to autonomous driving. Go figure. The number of managers in our office has reduced greatly, consolidating power around a few groupthink individuals who have made it clear they don't want anyone saying "no". Some managers were appointed without even interviewing against anyone else, leading to a culture of "kiss up, kick down" that trickles down into non-management positions. I've tried to reach out to HR about certain issues but only got continual dodging, a common experience for other employees. Now that person is leaving so who knows who will replace them - maybe the cleaning crew? Bottom line, the environment is toxic and morale is low.

Pros

Semi flexible start/end times. Friendly team management. Relaxed office culture

Cons

No career progression information available. No training for new hires. No respect for lower employees from upper management. Bureaucracy ties down development, and essential tools are still in flux
