      Good Pay but Poor Management and Prospects

      Pros

      The pay to workload ratio is very good. The pay itself isn’t as far ahead of others as it used to be. However the workload is reasonably low.

      Cons

      A terrible work culture has lead to a hierarchy of sycophants. A Constant stream of baffling decisions that ruin work life balance. Your shift times & holiday booking can and will be changed at random with moments notice. Repetitive nature of jobs leads to deskilling of general technical skills.

      The pay . . .

      Cons

      Breaks, minimum required by law, 31 minutes in a total 7.5 hr shift. JLR seem to think it is acceptable to move skilled people from their careers, after 11 yrs, onto the production line. The union look after their friends and family 1st making up rules to suit.

      Pros

      Because of electrification, you get to know many projects and get skilled. Some of the employees are great with behaviour and do respect you with contributions in the project.

      Cons

      After working in PTME for some time now, I can say that the place isn't the best one. One of LL6s recently moved to PTME who has prior record of bullying and disrespecting peers and fellow employees. He has been continuously doining the same to many within PTME and outside PTME. The senior management is watching everything but doining nothing. You will loose people if you don't respect them. To summarise, PTME needs serious 365 mirror view of its doing and should reflect on what the CEO is expecting the place to be.
