Early days at site but things are taking shape.

Pros

Great people. Opportunity to take initiative and own work. Good place to learn as you can become very involved in the growth of the site and can drive things if you step up.

Cons

Lack of direction from upper management. Politics between teams/sites holds back projects. Busy work can make an appearance at times. People end up doing roles they shouldn't be doing which just pulls them away from what they were hired to do. Grad program is poor and internal career development/promotions are not very transparent.

Opportunities for technical growth, a positive working environment for the most part, an impressive scope of projects.

Cons

Lack of a structured career development model, career and pay bands are massive, it can be very political depending on the team, pay is below the industry standard, pay grades are not transparent, poor global integration with other JLR sites.

Cons

Vast majority of the management is incompetent on their subject and promotions are given to people that understand absolutely nothing about the topic, just because they are pushed by senior management for unknown reasons. The environment is totally frustrating for whoever actually does some work. No willing to change, management lives in its own world, completely detached from reality and provides absolutely no help to their teams, just troubles.
