Pros
working hours are sensible, salary is medium and more holidays than in other jobs. The projects are really interesting.
Cons
really poor management, there are more managers than programmers (e.g. 5 managers to control the job of 3 programmers). Moreover, managers are disconnected of how the SW development is carried out. Nobody gets fired: this is a Con, as it means that at the end low productive workers stands for years in their jobs (or get promoted).
