Good product, although with Google jobs around the corner, soon returned to dust

Pros

The company really tries to make the environment supportive (lots of amenities), and employees are generally satisfied. You can gain exposure to many different departments, secure financial support for continuing education/classes, attend conferences, and have the opportunity for lateral movement within the company if you so desire (can be difficult). Overall, Indeed supports its employees' careers, futures, and wants them to be content (*complacent). Senior product leadership is exceptional. The president is a well-liked, natural leader.

Cons

Indeed does not pay well in comparison to other tech employers in Austin or outside of it. Additionally, if you're not in Engineering or Product (who are also underpaid) you're a second or even third-class employee. It all depends on your degree of separation from the tech core. Everything will reflect this from your paycheck, to your desk size, its location/the general environment of your department, to how you're treated by other employees. Additionally, Indeed moves infuriatingly slow and is generally reluctant to take risks. Aggressive expansion seems to be the blindfold strategy with an inefficient segmentation of goals that are not aligned between departments.
