      Pros

      Once you have a contract for undetermined time you are the king in your castle. The pay is really pretty good The location is all right There are jobs for practically anyone at ING. (both national and international) Work/life balance is excellent

      Cons

      Working for a bank in this climate requires quite a solid skin. If you have a contract for a set time and your contract is being renewed every year in stead of being offered a contract for undetermined time, get out. Large company that switches from business driven to IT driven every couple of years Large company means a stack of legacy

      Pros

      The projects are really interesting. I think that in external business units, not in HQ in Netherlands, the burocracy is not so much, the visibility over the whole IT is so big. I think that this bank is making a huge effort trying to be an agile company.

      Cons

      It's a bank, so the most of the times the development is not so easy. Try to download libraries is not pretty straightforward because it is not allowed to download everything.
