Pros

Great from the outside, terrible on the inside.

Cons

The "values" are a joke as they can be used by leadership against people that raise valid queries that run afoul of their KPIs. People speak of how this is wrong, but they will either watch and be entertained, maybe pour gasoline on the fire, or be too afraid of what affect it might have on their own careers if they speak up for their colleague's mistreatment. Leaders spoke of accountability... It was hands down pure comedy.

Pros

Their IITP rotational program is the best on the street for banking and provides an international experience. Mobility is very easy within the bank, great for people who are still exploring which team they want to be on.

Cons

Small fish in the US market so you won't get the most exciting deals or most impactful work.

Unsatisfactory expectations vs reality

Pros

Good benefits package: free meals and insurance Cool offices: ING branding, relaxing zones and beautiful garden Costumer-focus staff Flexibility to get in the office from 7-10 am Positive people

Cons

My feeling is dissatisfaction comparing expectations created through interviews vs reality Recruitment process took so long that I would suggest gathering interviewers at the same time - had to visit ING headquarters over 5 times Once landed, reality does not correspond to what you have been told: +Continuous business blockades +Constant meetings dragging on +Change prioritisation +Lack of IT resources which does not let initiatives advance +No professional career across ING areas +It is given more importance to what time you leave the office instead of measuring your productivity (I am surprised by finding the same people dedicating 2 hours to take several coffees on a daily basis, people who does not approve people leaving sooner without taking into consideration at what time you start) Please, track on people demands: real flexibility such as providing 1 or 2 days work-from-home options, avoid that "in-the-office" policy and give tools to make people perform the same tasks at home and implement an effective agile model
