Pros

Plenty of hours and OT if you want it. Some downtime during some parts of the year. Great 401K Job is easy to learn assuming you can read and write.

Cons

Lowest paying SL1 job in the plant. Management promotes their friends over hardworking employees. Blatant favoritism by management and shift leads. Real lack of accountability for anyone who’s there over a year. (Union protects everyone after their first year) Mandated during your weekends off if absolutely brutal. Not climate controlled, summer was horrendously hot!

Autonomy, hybrid work model, senior managers are fair, responsible, and respectful

Cons

Multiple combinations w/ other businesses over the years without spending significant money to align their systems make being a finance person at IFF very difficult; need to meet Wall Street targets forces low pay raises and lack of promotions

You get paid sick leave and absent days but have a limit

Cons

They pick and choose who gets a raise or not. Been there for 5 years and only got 2 raise because they like to have what they call a freeze during the time they give out raises so went 3 years without one raise. Expect to get paid less but to work hard
