Pros

Very well respected in the industry Solid financial results allows freedom to do new things Almost universal work from home policy which allows employees to spend time with family

Cons

Work from home policy means that most teams are geographically dispersed and in some cases you may never even meet your boss or coworkers in person. Policy decisions are often made by the institution - i.e. no one stands behind them so they cannot be challenged or discussed. The power is all in management - the workers are just resources. Yearly layoff policy trims thousands off the payroll silently on a regular basis Q) "Where's Joe?" A) "Didn't you hear? He left the company in the last Resource Action"

Pros

Good people, respective of home v. work balance

Cons

Very control oriented and lacking the trust of managers to do what is right for the business. Lots of talk of flexibility and ownership and leadership, but took many processes and controls to actually do things quickly and responsibly.

Pros

Large company with some sense of security if you are among the top contributors. Benefits aren't bad. Lots of room to move around if you are young and mobile. Ability to work at home.

Cons

Resource Actions instead of revenue growth. Benefits degraded from what they used to be. One of the values that attracted me to this company was "Respect for the Individual", that is LONG GONE and has been replaced by new values centered solely around business results. Pensions are gone for new employees and been replaced by an adequate 401K.
