Pros

A lot of material to learn new technologies. Different career plan programs, including IBM roadmaps and coaching, may meet people from other countries. You could work in a multicultural team. Certifications paid for by IBM. Good benefits.

Cons

Malinchismo and, sometimes, class discrimination. It is not easy to move between business units to find a good plan for professional growth. You will not have any chance if the business unit does not want you to leave, although another business unit asks you to work in it, where you earn a better salary and learn the latest technologies. The best thing would be for you to have the right contacts to achieve a great professional growth plan. There are some projects where the work-life balance is complicated due to poor project planning and organisation. There are other projects where the balance between personal and work life is perfect.
