Many directors (management partners) still trying to run it like a small company, often competing with other directors for work, and love to micro-manage, but only when it suits them. Almost every business decision requires directors approval, which can often slow down ability to react to client needs. Salaries are just on the borderline of being competitive, benefits are average. Training and personal development opportunities are few and far between.

poor communication from top down. Associates only look out for themselves, do not expect them to train young professional staff. most of them are senior techies, they do not have much love for young professionals. top brass seems to condone this kind of environment. the one i have to deal with is particularly frustrating, doesnt listen and condescending in his speech.
