Pros

The people you work with excluding management.

Cons

* Low Pay and have to beg your overtime pay even though u have to stay and be a team player. *On site food, I won't event feed to the dog sometimes they forget other people such as vegans or vegetarians and will serve you 3 different pasta all meat or fish. * Treatment of you from the management they will give falls hope and no action plan for development. * Staff Discounts??? Yes you get 12 free stay but its like you have to beg hotels for availability so its close to 0 chances to book them. If you try and book a stay using your staff discount my suggestion is forget it certain locations will extort you to £200 per night as a staff discount which is a joke. *50% food and drink again Subject to the general manager even if its in the contract they won't honour it. *Honest advice I've worked in the industry for a while and run while you still can avoid at all costs. For a multi billion company they do not care about their staff and there are no benefits whatsoever.

Pros

The hotel itself is so beautiful and nice. The location is great, it's in a part of Portland that doesn't experience any negativity and the rooms are nice especially for the price you pay for. The hotel discounts are nice.

Cons

The hyatt centric in downtown portland is one of the worst hotels in Portland to work for. Not only are the guest terrible, but management and the company that manages this property make it impossible to stay sane. There's an obvious clique culture, bullying, toxic work culture, micro management, racism, fraud and so much illegal activity that happens among the managers. If you get on of the managers bad side (which isn't hard to do) then all of the managers will be out to get you. Sadly, Peachtree allows this type of behavior to happen. Most employees who work the front desk don't last no longer than three months. I can not stress this enough if you value your mental health or don't like being bullied for doing your job then I highly don't advise working there.
