Pros

Great benefits, and there were some newer leaders who I enjoyed working with. I was able to build good relationships with other departments in a short amount of time. I enjoyed working with the clients and learning new things.

Cons

What I learned working as an Event Concierge at the Hyatt Regency Chicago was that my position was not a respected one. The managers speak to you any kind of way, and you are expected to do things that are surely not a part of your job. I felt demeaned and the office culture was brutal at times. People lying and gossiping, including managers. When I spoke to them about how things were, it was evident that nothing would change. I cannot recommend anyone apply for the Events Concierge position.
