Pros

The 12 free nights 23 cent raise a year

Cons

They take perfect sale incentives and divide them up between the mangers who do no work . Your raise is the same (0.23) as everybody elses and the new hires make the same amount as you. They will also let you know the amount of money they made but it makes no difference to your check . They create mental health issues they don't care about you all they care about is money and this particular property don't even look forward to advancing unless your friends with the managers and you drink or sleep with someone they literally have a circle of favoritism you can be there for years an they will promote the person the new person who goes out for drinks they will over work you so the upper management and all the friends in their circle can be off for their bday . I literally watched a manger leave to go to another managers birthday party buts its "team work " . The turn around time is crazy is here to like a revolving door this is why . Company allows customers to Disrespect and violate you they do nothing about it but take the customers side they don't care about your story or investigating they have your write up typed out before you even speak . I also seen management go on a persons social media after firing her and buy her for weeks they teased her at a company event vs helping her the things I witnessed made me hate it here .

Pros

The travel benefits, if you can stick it our for a year then you can get free hotel nights and the discounted room rates aren't half bad. Many individuals that get into hospitality are people who like working with people; so often times your coworkers are really fun and easy to get along with.

Cons

The challenge is that every property is different. I've worked and many of them and the cultural changes with the hotel. It doesn't always change for the better. Consistently the pay is too low and the hours are unheard of long. No one should have to work a regular shift of 15 hour days, but that becomes the norm very quickly. It's important to try and get a feel for the cultural and expectations of that specific hotel before joining the team.
