      Pros

      Many opportunities across the company to gain experience One of the largest employers in town (limited alternatives) There are some very bright people working at Humana - you can learn a lot from them

      Cons

      Hires too many consultants to tell management what our internal employees have already said Career growth is a free-for-all, no defined structure If you want a decent raise you will need to leave the company Industry is under constant attack Very political - almost to the point of paralysis Many employees are disengaged due to uncertainty, layoffs, and overwhelming politics

      Pros

      My department has a great team mentality and I feel comfortable being able to talk to our management team with feedback on the department. I feel that they try to utilize my strengths which makes me more motivated to come to work and do a good job. Humana is trying to make a difference in the insurance industry and is a cutting-edge health and wellness company.

      Cons

      Change is so slow. Many processes are still in the 2004 mentality before the time of huge growth. Communication between management and analyst can be very limited (i have experiences with this when working with management in other departments.) Job culture and experience can vary greatly from a customer service role to a corporate role and a market location v louisville.
